One thing in advance: the highest mountain entirely on Swiss soil is the 4545-metre-high Dom. And at the foot of the Dom lies the high-alpine holiday region of Saas-Fee/Saas Valley. Hiking trails, bike trails, via ferratas, mountain tours and much more are often offered to us with a view of 18 impressive four-thousand-metre peaks.

Each trail offers a new perspective on the majestic four-thousand-metre peaks of the Saas Valley. Glacier lakes run along most of the routes and provide cool refreshment. Bicycles and e-bikes are available for hire.

The Saas-Fee/Saas Valley holiday region is an Eldorado for mountain tours. They have something to offer for everyone. With 350 km of trails, there are countless opportunities to discover new perspectives on the region's four-thousand-metre peaks. If you want to climb one of these mountains, we recommend doing so with a professional mountain guide. A special highlight is the ascent of the Allalin (4027 m a.s.l.), which is easiest to reach from the mountain station of the highest metro in the world, the Metro Alpin.

Saas-Fee is a popular destination for skiers in summer because you can still ski on the glaciers then. For this reason, many ski teams from all over the world train here on 20 km of prepared slopes.

In October, you can also watch the best athletes in slopestyle, big air and halfpipe in the Stomping Grounds Park. Jeremy Carpenter's halfpipe is unique in the world at this level at this time of year.

Equipped with crampons, ski poles and climbing harness, you start at the Spielboden mountain station and climb up the Fee glacier secured by the rope of your mountain guide. The tour takes you past monumental séracs and crevasses to Längfluh station.

The tour usually takes 3 to 4 hours and is an unforgettable experience for anyone who wants to experience the beauty and challenges of the Swiss Alps up close.

Let an experienced mountain guide lead you through the wildly rugged Feeschlucht gorge, which leads down from Saas-Fee to Saas-Grund. The spectacular tour takes you past impressive waterfalls and over suspension bridges, ladders and steel cables. Special highlights of the traverse are a speedy tyrolienne and a pendulum walk.
